Our first contact with the work of Cesar Manrique is the 13m high Monumento al Campesino , the Farmer's Monument , which the Artist built to honor the importance of the farmers work in Lanzarote . Our tour guide will explain its meaning during a photo stop. Then we visit the capital of the north, Haria, where Cesar Manrique lived until his tragic car crash on the 25tth of September 1992 . After a stroll through Haria we drive to the highest point of the north coast (475 m ) where Cesar Manrique has framed the most beautiful view with the surprising Mirador del Rio.
